Availability and Interoperability

The SciELO Books eBook collection is widely accessible via various systems, services and protocols on the Web. SciELO eBooks are indexed in the main international Discovery Services which facilitate the searching and finding of content on the Web by users at academic and research libraries, among others. The eBooks are also available at leading online stores which offer Open Access eBooks and eBooks for sale. Since the SciELO eBooks adhere to international formats and standards, they are interoperable with many different reader devices, and are open to metadata harvesting which enables the automated distribution of their metadata on the Web by major indices.
